Robots that support medical professionals

In research

We are researching robots that take routine physical work off surgeons, therapists and nurses, so they can focus on their patients. In every design, a trained professional stays in control.

Not for sale. These robots are in research and development. They are not medical devices registered with the Medical Device Authority (MDA), and they are not offered for clinical use.

In research

Surgical assistance

What it would do
Holds a camera or instrument steady during long procedures, so the surgical team has a stable view and free hands.
Who stays in control
The surgeon. The robot moves only on the surgeon’s command and can be released by hand at any time.
What we are exploring
Hands-free positioning by foot pedal or voice, force and speed limits, and a hardware stop like the one on AgriBot.
In research

Rehabilitation

What it would do
Guides repeated arm and hand movements during therapy sessions and records each session for the therapist.
Who stays in control
The therapist, who sets the exercise, range and effort, and can stop the session instantly.
What we are exploring
Gentle, back-drivable motors, progress data the therapist can review, and designs that fit Malaysian clinics.
In research

Hospital logistics

What it would do
Carries medicine, samples and supplies between wards and stores, so nurses spend less time walking and more with patients.
Who stays in control
Hospital staff, who send each delivery and unlock the drawers. The robot gives way to people.
What we are exploring
Mapping and navigation like AgriBot’s, locked drawers with access logs, and safe operation in busy corridors.

Our path

From research to hospitals — the right way

Medical robots must be proven safe before anyone uses them on patients. This is the route we follow.

  1. 1

    Research & prototypes

Concepts, lab prototypes and engineering tests.

    We are here
  2. 2

    Testing with clinical partners

Bench and simulated-use testing with hospitals and universities, with ethics approval where needed.

  3. 3

    Quality management system

A medical-device quality system (ISO 13485) for design, production and records.

  4. 4

    MDA registration

Conformity assessment and registration under the Medical Device Act 2012.

  5. 5

    Available to hospitals

Only after registration: offered to hospitals and clinics with training and support.

Work with us on medical robotics

We welcome hospitals, doctors, therapists and researchers who want to shape these robots: share a problem, test a prototype, or co-supervise a project.
